Summary: Islam Guide does not send any personal data to our servers.
Your location, settings, khatm progress, and all personal data are stored only on your
device. We cannot access this data.
1. Data We Collect
Islam Guide does not send or store any personal data on our servers.
The following data is processed only locally, on your device:
1.1 Location Data
- Purpose: Accurately calculate prayer times and qibla direction
- Source: Your device's GPS sensor
- Storage: On-device in encrypted SharedPreferences
- Sharing: Never shared with any third party
- Server transfer: None
- Permission type: "When in use" or "Always" (for background notifications)
1.2 Notification Permission
- Purpose: Show local notifications at prayer times
- Mechanism: iOS UNUserNotificationCenter / Android LocalNotifications
- Server transfer: None — all notifications scheduled on-device
1.3 App Settings
- Theme, language, selected adhan sound, khatm progress, favorites
- Storage: Only on your device (SharedPreferences / UserDefaults)
- When you uninstall the app, all data is permanently deleted
2. Third-Party Services
The app only communicates with the following required services:
2.1 Quran Recitation CDNs
cdn.islamic.network — Quran audio (Mishary Rashid Alafasy)everyayah.com — Additional Quran recitations
These CDNs only serve audio files. No identifying information is transmitted. Only
your device's IP and HTTP User-Agent appear, just like any standard internet request.
2.2 Daily Motivation API
- Endpoint:

- Purpose: Fetch verses and hadiths on a monthly basis
- Data sent: Only the month name (e.g.,
2026-04)
- User information: Not sent — anonymous HTTP GET request
2.3 Google Play Billing / Apple App Store
Premium purchases use the official payment APIs of Google Play / App Store. Payment
information is processed on Google/Apple's servers; we have no access. Only the
purchase verification token is stored on your device.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
The following data types are never collected:
- Name, surname, email, phone number
- Account information (no registration system)
- User analytics (no Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA, AAID) — the app contains no ads
- Social media integration
- Photo, contacts, calendar access
- Device ID, device model reporting
- Crash reports (no Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.)
4. Children's Privacy
Islam Guide is rated 4+ and suitable for all ages. Because we collect no personal
data whatsoever, we are fully compliant with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy
Protection Act) and similar child protection regulations worldwide.
5. Data Security
All data stored on your device is protected by iOS and Android's built-in security
mechanisms (iOS Data Protection, Android EncryptedSharedPreferences). All network
communication is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS 1.2+.
6. GDPR & CCPA Rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer
Privacy Act (CCPA), your rights include:
- Right to access: Since we hold no data on our servers, this
does not apply. You can access your on-device data via the app's Settings.
- Right to deletion: Uninstalling the app permanently deletes
all your data irreversibly.
- Right to portability: Your khatm progress and favorites are
stored in local SQLite/JSON format, exportable via your device's file manager.
- Right to object: To object to any data processing, simply
uninstall the app — we process nothing.
7. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated. Significant changes will be announced via in-app
notification. The "Last Updated" date is refreshed with each change. Continued use
of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
